Scalp Psoriasis

What is Scalp Psoriasis

In scalp psoriasis, areas of the skin grow much faster than normal and form red, scaling patches. The lesions are red, sharply defined plaques covered with thick silvery scales. This distinguishes psoriasis from the diffuse or patchy redness and scaling of seborrheic dermatitis.

Scalp psoriasis should not prevent any cosmetic procedures. There is no magic cure for scalp psoriasis. Treatment is temporarily effective, and may need to be continued for quite a while.
