Permanent Body Hair Removal TipsHow to Deal with Unwanted HairEvery women suffers from the problem of unwanted hair. There are various short term and long term methods for hair removal. Unwanted hair can be on legs, arms, underarms, bikini line or the face. Hair removal can be achieved through depilation (removing part of the hair above the skin's surface) or epilation (removing the entire hair). For many consumers, temporary methods at regular intervals are acceptable. Remedies for Dealing with the SituationThere are a number of remedies for dealing with unwanted hair, including bleaching, short-term hair removal, long-term hair removal and permanent hair removal. Bleaching - Bleaching the hair makes the hair more difficult to see. Plucking the hairs out using a tweezer. Trimming the hair. Shaving- It is the most common hair removal method. Cheap, quick, minimal side effects for most, but not long-lasting. Shaving removes the hair at the skin's surface. As the hair is cut off, it may grow back thicker and darker than before. Shaving products include razors, disposable razors and electric razors. A sharpened metal blade cuts hair off at the skin's surface. Waxing- An ancient method, one of the few temporary methods still commonly performed professionally. Hot wax is applied to the skin, and a strip of cloth or paper is pressed into the preparation. The strip is then quickly pulled away, taking hairs with it. Waxing is a popular way of removing unwanted body and facial hair. There are a number of special waxing kits available for purchase, some of which include all-natural ingredients. Using an epilator - These devices are similar to electric razors, except instead of a cutting plade on a rotary head, they have rows of tweezers which can pull hairs out by the root. As the hairs are removed at the root, it takes longer for the hairs to grow back than they would in normal shaving. Depilatory creams - Common method, but some consumers find the caustic ingredients cause skin irritation or even chemical burns. Electrolysis- Permanent hair removal for most consumers if performed correctly (which requires considerable training and skill). Laser hair removal. Some of these methods last longer than others, but none of them provide permanent hair removal. |
